My bestie and I visited for the first time on a Tuesday, 6pm. The location is cozy, the mural and decor is lovely, really refreshing in that space. I was immediately greeted by the proprietor who made me feel welcome.Menu size and options were excellent, we shared beef tartare, Brussels sprouts, a smash burger and fries. All delicious, flavorful, fresh. I liked seeing all the veggie sides as options and will definitely want to try a lot more from the menu, I think it has something for everyone.Drinks were great, we each ordered a cocktail. Service was unhurried and food came out fast.Although we were seated right away, by the time we were leaving the place had a pleasant bustle.We will be back for sure.

Beautiful design, good selection of foods, excellent portion sizes and strong drinks. Everything tasted better than we expected. We will be back until we try the whole menu.

Hard to beat the energy at the recently-opened Local Rumor on Selby Ave in St. Paul. Cozy, colorful and playful atmosphere with friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the fish tacos and roasted brussel sprouts. Excellent wine, beer and spirits selections too. Thank you. FANTASTIC!! Drinks - amazing, food - SO GOOD, staff - the best.Loved stopping here for a quick bite. We WILL be back to try the rest of the menu. You can’t go wrong with anything on there. Our favorite this time was the Chopped Steak with a marg… but the Curry was amazing and so was the wings!

Food was amazing, the service was friendly and fast. What more is needed? We tried the chicken sandwich, smash burger, cheese plate, hot dish, and cauliflower. All were enjoyed by the whole family. Except for the smash burger that my son destroyed in record time. So glad to have a new place in the neighborhood!

Newly opened, highly anticipated local neighborhood gem that did not disappoint. Upscale bar food, everything ala cart with a very good price point menu. We tried their chicken wings in a flavorful Korean sauce that had the perfect amount of kick, an arugula golden beat salad that was light and refreshing, the perfectly spiced vegetarian Thai curry dish that was well balanced by the not too sweet coconut milk, and their crunchy fish tacos on colorful corn tortillas. The atmosphere was cozy and charming with spotless bathrooms with gleaming floors. This is going to be my new favorite spot. They are still waiting for their liquor license and I'm guessing it'll be hard to get a table when that happens. I'll be back real soon with more family and friends.

Update: just tried the newer menu item Braised Beef Tacos and this is now my favorite thing on the menu. 10/10!At long last, The Local Rumor is open! We’ve been waiting for a great spot to open in our neighborhood ever since Blue Door closed. We came by Friday night just to see if they were open and they were! The interior is completely redesigned with the feel of a lot more space. They did a great job with colors, vibe and sound, so we felt right at home and were comfortable talking to each other in our group of 5. We ordered some delicious mocktails and immediately noticed bone broth on the menu. We ordered that, a burger, fries and wings, since we were only looking to snack and try a few things. The food was impressive and eminently affordable. In fact, the 14 smash burger is actually a double and was instantly demolished by our picky 14 year-old. We also got to know the staff, many of whom moved over from the Hewing Hotel, which helps explain the high caliber of service, food and ambiance. We can’t wait to come back and keep going through the menu and see what else these good folks have in store.

This local gem was tucked into a beautiful neighborhood and mes for the perfect addition! The vibe and decor were so unique and positive, and the menu was a pleasant navigation of a unique variety of dishes! Everything we ordered was incredible!
